well, maybe not so fast, now that I've read the article. I think Ramirez should take the deal. I'm not so sure that he'll get a better one from another team.
He is going to be 34 years old and I hope he starts pitching like the ace he's supposed to be. He is our number 1 pitcher, so he needs to pitch like it.
And the Chicago Cubs have once again proven that they are a pathetic excuse for a baseball team. They ended up 71-91 for the season, 20 games under .500. One of the few bright spots for the Cubs was starting shortstop Starlin Castro.
It hasn't been pretty at times, what with lack of hitting on occasion, and lack of pitching in other games. Playing .500 ball will not get them to the playoffs, or the World Series.
They need relief pitchers and batters that can hit in the clutch, but I don't know if that will ever happen.
Well, this is where the Chicago Cubs are starting out the 2011 season. We'll see how many changes are made throughout the year (based on performance, injuries, personality clashes, etc.)
